Finding
Grandparents Forums

One of the advantages to having a computer or similar device that connects to the Internet is that you can find Message Forums (Message Boards) that contain posting of messages from others that share your interests. Grandparents and Seniors have a very nice selection of sites to choose from when it comes to Message Forums.
Forums come in many shapes and sizes. Some have a few members and some Forums such as the ones on Yahoo!Groups and MSN Groups have many active members. For the larger Forums you normally need to log in with a user name and password.
When logging into the Forums on the larger sites a search box is provided to assist you in locating Forums that contain messages of interest. In searching for Grandparents Forums you would enter Grandparents. Another search word would be Grandparent. To even narrow the listing further you could enter Grandmother or Grandfather or similar words.
Using Yahoo!Groups as an example there are 637-fourms shown with a search for Grandparents. The word Grandparent displays 110-fourms.
Using MSN Groups as an example there are 1,246-groups shown with a search for Grandparents. The word Grandparent displays 126-groups.
Take your time and note the description given for the Forum and the number of members currently signed up for the Forum. If a Forum interests you just click on the join button.
Another way to locate Forums for Grandparents would be to use a search engine such as Google entering Grandparents Message Boards. When using a search engine remember the listing will be huge so narrow the search down with key words such as Ohio Grandparents or Grandparents Raising Grandkids as an example. For additional tips on using search engines click here.
When you are visiting a favorite site always check to see if they offer a Fourm or Message Board. Many small sites offer Message Boards for viewers.
Shown below are a few Message Boards or Fourms that I have enjoyed. I'm sure that if you look you too will soon have a list of Message Forums or Boards that you find both entertaining and educational!
